Cool, Cool Colorado

We went to Beaver Creek, CO for a summer vacation. We have been there many times and I love the familiarity of the area. Last year, the babies were only 5 months old. And at Christmas they were just learning to crawl. This trip was much easier than the past two. They are mobile and able to enjoy the outdoor activities. We had a great time. Here is a recap of our activities.

Pops, Uncle RP, and Daddy watch the ducks in the lake with Colton and Elliette.

The lake next to our condo has a nice play ground. Daddy helped Ellie slide for the first time. Pops was ready to catch her.

Uncle RP helped Colton slide, too.

Colton and Elliette thoroughly enjoyed see-sawing together.

We also enjoyed eating outside a lot. The weather was too perfect to be indoors.

We took the gondola up to Eagle's Nest on Vail Mountain. What a view!
Colton needed a Mimi hug to reassure him the ride was safe.

There was still snow on top of the mountain. Pops and Daddy took the babies to check it out.

All the excitement of the mountain experience wore them out.

We went paddle boating one afternoon. It was a quick ride. Can you see the lightening storm brewing in the background?

We ate and shopped at Vail Village a few times during the week.

Colton enjoyed walking on the bricks.

While Ellie preferred to be pushed like a princess in her carriage. Man, does she ever like that stroller! Thanks Uncle RP for being a good chauffeur.

The river is very high because of the late snowfall and run-off. We had an amazing time. Thanks to Mimi, Pops and Uncle RP for making the trip so memorable. We love you!!!
