Little Ranchers

I think we all have a little country in us. There is really nothing like looking out at open land and hearing only the birds. B has been wanting to get the babies out to visit his horse, B, for months. (Yes, his horse's name is also B. The name was given to him after B, the human, procrastinated naming the horse.) Saturday morning we were able to do just that. Unfortunately, the Durens were on vacation. But B doesn't get many free Saturdays, so we took advantage of the opportunity. During our last visit, B and the babies viewed the animals while riding on the Mule with Brent Duren. I was anxious to see how they would react with the animals up close.

B went to go find horse B. Colton and Elliette were captivated while viewing from behind the fence. Is this not the cutest picture?!?

Colton was excited to touch horse B. We were both surprised at his eagerness. Ellie wanted to get close, too. Just not too close. As long as Daddy had her, she was good. Colton loved touching his nose. I have to agree that horse B's nose is very soft. And he was so gentle with the babies. He is such a sweet horse. Ellie found a baby kitten in the barn. She had to show all of us where it was. Daddy let Ellie sit on his saddle. Colt and Ellie weren't sure about sitting on horse B's back, and it was just too hot to saddle him. Grey came up to take a look. It was so nice to be out on the ranch even though we couldn't stay long. I am looking forward to cooler weather so we can play longer.
