B took the afternoon off of work and we all went to the Texas State Fair. Most of our time was spent in the livestock areas. Here are just a few pictures of our wonderful outing.
If you have been around Elliette and Colton any, you know that our days are filled with many different animal noises. Of course, 'moos' are high on the list. So our first stop was the cattle barn. Ellie is pointing the baby 'mooooo' out to Colton and Daddy.
Next, was the lamb exhibit. They can 'baaaaa' with the best of 'em.
Colton found the baby pigs in the petting zoo. They were running around and snorting. It was really funny.
Ellie makes the best pig sound. It is a deep snort. She found the 1 ton pig. I wish he could have snorted for her. They could have had a snorting show down.
Like I said, Colton really liked the goats.
Really liked them.
Ellie, not so much. She wanted to touch, but then would quickly change her mind when the goats came too close.
Colton got really excited about the goats. But I think he is pointing out the zebra for Ellie. Can you believe the fair had a zebra? There was even a giraffe. So cool. The babies were in animal heaven.
We also ate corn dogs, popcorn chicken, chocolate covered strawberries waffle balls, and a deep fried latte. I couldn't take any pictures because my hands were just too messy. It was an awesome afternoon. I am so blessed!

WARNING: Watch out making animal noises with little kids. That's how I got the nickname "BaqBaq". Yes, my nieces call me a chicken noise.
