Weekend at the Lake

We spent Father's Day weekend at a friend's lake house in Lake Athens. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I even water skied. I hadn't water skied in probably 15 + years. But I surprised myself and got right up. It was so fun and brought back many childhood memories. There were many firsts for Colton and Elliette, however.

First life jackets. Thanks Uncle RP for buying them. Pops helps Colton into his blue one.

Daddy helps Ellie into her red one.

First jet ski ride. Uncle RP drove with Colton, while Pops and Ellie enjoyed the ride.

Daddy and I wanted to go for a ride, too. This time Ellie wanted to drive.
Can you tell they liked it?

We feel the need. The need for speed!

First feeding of geese. The babies could not get enough of these birds. Thanks Mimi and Pops for letting them get close and personal. I believe the geese feasted on McDonald's' biscuits, pancakes and hash browns. Pops said Colton would throw the birds a bite and then take a bite for himself. No wonder the geese kept coming back for more.

First walkie talkies. They couldn't quite figure them out. But 'talked' on them anyway. The buttons made neat noises. But the best part was hanging with Daddy on Father's Day. (And in nothing but diapers, too.) We love you B and are blessed to have you as a husband and a Daddy. Thank you for all you do.
