On their 19 month birthday, we went back to visit where this all began, Methodist Dallas Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Colton and Elliette spent their first twelve days in the NICU. It was very strange going back. Here is the hotel room B and I stayed in for almost two weeks on their 4th floor.
The babies semi-pose with us outside the NICU against their donor mural. It was so hard to believe 19 month ago that they would be running around and so healthy and happy. We are truly blessed.
Here is baby Elliette 19 months ago.
And sweet Colton a couple days old. 
I am so grateful to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Methodist. They treated us with tenderness and urgency when needed. This place has such a special place in my heart. Thank you especially to Nurse Jennifer. She has become a dear friend and always will be. She gave us extra attention and helped us all through some challenging times. Here is our family leaving the NICU. I enjoyed it much more with the babies running out beside us!
